    ​Asharqia Chamber organizes the expanded meeting for the agricultural and food sector

    Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Agriculture and Food Committee, organized the expanded meeting for the sector, in which it hosted two officials in cooperative societies specialized in livestock and agricultural marketing.

    Speaking at the meeting, which was held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, Abdullah bin Falah bin Hethlin, The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Animal Resources Association in the Eastern Province, said that the association was established to serve within its objectives the livestock sector of all kinds, referring to the association aims to establish veterinary pharmacies in all governorates and centers of the region. It aims to establish an integrated veterinary hospital and provide mobile medical services.

    During the meeting, which was moderated by the Chairman of the Committee, Muhammad bin Nasser Al Dayl, bin Hethlin explained that the association seeks to distribute slaughterhouses in all governorates and is working to provide good sacrifices at reasonable prices, stressing that the livestock sector is promising and it is important to expand its services to raise the level of performance in it.

    For this part, Faisal bin Saeed Al-Zahrani, a member of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Vision Association for Agricultural Marketing in the Eastern Province, said that the association seeks, within its vision, to lead and excel in the field of agricultural marketing in the Kingdom, support the agricultural private sector in the Kingdom and provide all direct and indirect marketing services.

    Al-Zahrani pointed out that the association aims to raise the burden of marketing from farmers to devote them to planting high-quality products, in addition to contributing to creating job opportunities for farmers' children in the field of agricultural marketing and increasing the volume and quality of local production to achieve food security for the Kingdom.

    It also aims to represent farmers and agricultural marketers before the relevant authorities, help manage and operate vegetable and fruit markets in the region, build strategic alliances with the private sector to create an electronic platform for marketing agricultural products, and establish marketing service centers to provide the best logistics services that include transportation, packaging, and storage, and work on the establishment of transforming factories for agricultural products to increase the added value of these products​
